Job Description Job Description Wastewater Engineer Seeking a hardworking and forward-thinking, Wastewater Engineer to join our team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, with 10 years of civil/ sanitary experience and a concentration in Water and Wastewater treatment technologies Professional Engineer's License preferred Familiarity with the basic functions in AutoCAD Civil 3D Knowledge with wastewater treatment modeling software (GPSx/Biowin) is a plus Experience in project management The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills and approachability to work effectively with peers and clients Close vision, and color vision ability required Safely and effectively lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights Bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods and maintaining the necessary physical dexterity and coordination Working in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, and noise levels at times Requirements: Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices Function in a lead engineering role for projects including completion of process and hydraulic detailed design, specifications, permit application, and design engineering reports Maintain work scope for project engineering within time and budget parameters Develop and complete bench/pilot treatability studies Manage treatment plant construction Provide onsite engineering and treatment operations support Review shop drawing submittals and requests for information during equipment fabrication/construction Continue to develop and utilize working knowledge of water/wastewater design practices Physical Requirements: Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights. Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination. Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels.
