Manage a team to ensure CBTC carborne designs meet established specifications and contractual requirements. Oversee CBTC equipment installations, testing, inspection, analysis, and reliability tracking on subway cars to ensure effective CBTC operations during rollout, cutover, stabilization, and post-warranty periods.Education and Experience:Baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, with at least 7 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of cutting-edge heavy railcar engineering technology.
  • Understanding of transit rail vehicle systems and their interactions with wayside equipment.
  • Expertise in design, testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and corrective actions related to railcars, control systems, and CBTC.
  • Experience with NYCT environment, including car and wayside equipment, technical documentation, and engineering processes.Selection Method: Evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.Additional Information:All appointments, except for Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be on the NYCT payroll.
