- Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Scranton,
Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED -
Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/21/2025 -
Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights -
Employment Type: Travel No interview required. *Minimum 2-3 year
experience required ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS required • Scrub Color:
Navy Blue • EMR = Cerner • 1:4 / 1:5 dependent upon assignment in
ED • Scope of role: EKG, IV insertion, lab draw, medication
administration, foley insertion, vital signs, assessment
documentation, assisting with RSI, conduct point-of-care testing
(blood glucose, urine pregnancy, rapid strep. The Registered Nurse
holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room
patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the
state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The
registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific
judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe
delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department;
maintains clinical competencies through continuing education;
delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education
and experience of the staff available; provides direction and
supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care Benefits
