Schedule AM Shift: 7 AM - 8 PM, 3x12 hour shifts Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgical Services will provide comprehensive patient care across the continuum in a surgical setting, demonstrating knowledge and skills from pediatric to geriatric patients. The RN will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, delivering clinical skills, maintaining accurate documentation, and embodying professionalism and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities - Perform systematic and comprehensive patient assessments. - Demonstrate competent clinical skills and provide direct patient care. - Maintain complete and accurate documentation in patient charts. - Provide education to patients and families regarding surgical procedures. - Ensure patient safety by following National Patient Safety Goals. - Evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness. - Individualize patient care based on procedures and anesthesia types. - Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient needs.
