Full-Time Location: Union, NJ Minimum Requirements for role: -
Master’s degree in a mental health related field (psychology,
social work, marriage & family, or mental health counseling)
required. - Must be a licensed Psychologist, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT,
LCDC, or equivalent in the State of practice. License must be
current and in good standing. - Must hold a CCS and LADAC
certification. About this role: Responsible for overseeing and
developing the Clinical department including hiring, supervision,
evaluation and scheduling. Develop, plan and implement strategies
for program continuation and growth. Provide clinical training to
clinical staff and interns. Must have a positive and supportive
attitude toward the company and its overall success. Provide both
clinical and personnel supervision of the clinical staff. Must have
the ability to think globally, solve problems and have good
decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills. Assist
with clinical aspects of clients prior to discharge, and
"step-down". Accountable for clinical paperwork and monitoring of
Clients Programs Schedule. As the Clinical Director with Harmony
Health Group, you will: - Supervise and oversee all aspects of the
clinical department following the agency mission demonstrated by
setting departmental goals and objectives. Evaluate existing
contract compliance, monitoring and reporting to ensure all goals
are being met - Hiring, supervision, evaluation, scheduling,
promotion, corrective action of paid and volunteer personnel
(interns) within the department - Regularly review and recommend
changes in program services to meet client needs with particular
emphasis on services for underserved populations, oversight of
program evaluation and quality assurance functions for department
including assessment of applicable legal and professional
requirements and monitoring treatment plans for clients - Ensure
contract compliance for department and volunteer personnel within
the department. Initiate, implement and monitor compliance with
evidence based practices - Work with other members of the
management team to assure successful communication and coordination
between all departments, and participate in strategic planning -
Regularly provide clinical training to clinical services staff and
interns - Recruitment of clinical interns, conduct outreach and
maintain working relationships with graduate schools - Lead daily
staff briefing meetings - Provide clinical training to clinical
services staff: Intervention Program, Train the Trainer, ASAM's -
Able to redirect clients into appropriate program of care, when
they are not ready to leave - Contact family members as needed, to
discuss needed support for the client - Coordinate and facilitates
Groups (Clients Program Trainings for 30 days): Just for Today,
Primary Process Group, My 12 -step, Life Skills, New Jersey
Required Criteria: - The director of substance abuse counseling
services shall be responsible for the direction, provision and
quality of substance abuse counseling services, including the
following: - Developing and maintaining written objectives,
policies and procedures, an organizational plan and a quality
assurance program, reviewed by the administrator, for substance
abuse counseling services; - Ensuring that the behavioral and
pharmacologic approaches to treatment are evidence based or based
on objective information to provide treatment services consistent
with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level
of care and type of client served by the program; - Providing or
ensuring, and documenting, that direct clinical supervision is
provided at least one hour per week to all clinical staff,
individually or in a group setting, with group supervision not to
exceed 50 percent of supervision time; - Ensuring that substance
abuse counseling services are provided as specified in the client
treatment plan, and coordinated with other client care services, if
applicable, in order to provide continuity of care; - Ensuring that
the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients with
co-occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and
qualified clinical staff, and that the clinical supervision of such
staff is provided; - Assisting in developing and maintaining
written job descriptions for substance abuse counseling personnel,
and assigning duties; - Assessing and participating in staff
education activities and providing consultation to program
personnel; - Providing orientation to and evaluation of new
counseling staff prior to the assignment of counseling
responsibilities; - Ensuring that all counseling staff are properly
licensed or credentialed in accordance with this chapter; -
Participating in the identification of quality care indicators and
outcome objectives and the collection and review of data to monitor
staff and program performance; - Participating in planning and
budgeting for the provision of substance abuse counseling services;
and - Ensuring that clinical staff are being supervised by the
appropriately credentialed staff. Requirements: You will be
successful in this role if you: - Master’s degree in a mental
health related field (psychology, social work, marriage & family,
or mental health counseling) required. - Must be a licensed
Psychologist, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LCDC, or equivalent in the State of
practice. License must be current and in good standing. - Must hold
a CCS and LADAC certification. - 3 years of progressively
responsible substance abuse program management experience and staff
supervision, including expertise transforming clinical staff into a
highly functional team. Experience preferred in the field of
chemical dependency/substance abuse/psychiatric setting or human
services field. - Ability to work as a team member and possess
strong management, communication, organizational and interpersonal
skills - Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible
in relation to department needs - Knowledge of Joint Commission
standards within the Department - Knowledge of HIPAA laws, Drug
Free Workplace Policies, Workplace Violence - Knowledge of
Corporate Integrity and Compliance Programs. Strong computer
literacy and in current technology. Knowledge of 12 Step Programs -
Influencing, Providing Direction, Coaching and Developing others,
Motivation, Fostering Teamwork, Managing Conflict, Decision Making,

Administrative Management: - Monitors the Client Orientation

Progress Notes, After Treatment Plan, Telephone Notes, Treatment

and follow through on Departmental Standard Operating Procedures -
Facilitate weekly peer meetings -follow through with concerns -
Facilitates meeting with clients to be discharged - Physical
presence at the residences; 3-4 times weekly - Follow up on
Step-down Board, Insurance and Discharges - Daily communicate with
Case Manager Supervisor to develop group schedule and staff
assignment - Develop programming for Inception and Target
populations as well as Focus group - Communicates with Facility
Director regarding outings to ensure coordination is effective -
Assist in completing overflows of all intakes - Meet with clients
when they are on Precaution Watch Note - Responsible for reviewing
the Concurrent Review CCR - with each therapist once UR reports
concerns - Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and
punctuality to work - Represent the Organization in a professional
manner - Understand and follow all policies and procedures of the
