X-Ray Tech Location: Bristol, CT Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,543 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: X-Ray Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: State CT License required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: At least 1-2 years of experience for each modality. Previous travel experience preferred. Description: General certification requirements include BLS and Covid vaccination (3 shots). The department operates 3 scanners/rooms. No floating or covering of other areas is required. Common types of imaging performed include general, OR, fluoroscopy, and portables. The average number of scans performed daily is 60. The department utilizes Meditech and Intellispace PACS for electronic medical records. Department specific equipment includes GE, Philips, and Siemens. There is no supervision by a radiology supervisor or lead technologist. Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized. Radiologists are not in-house 24/7. Starting IVs is not a required task. Weekend requirements involve rotating with permanent staff. Holidays will also be rotated with permanent staff. There are no call or standby requirements. Scrubs are not provided; the dress code includes purple tops and eggplant pants. HR orientation is one day, with training and shadowing based on the traveler's proficiency with the computer system. A cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of up to three shifts in a 13-week assignment without penalty. The hospital’s trauma level is unspecified.
