Job Description:

Laurel Manor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team focused on skilled nursing care, rehabilitation services, and long-term care. This role is vitally important in enhancing the quality of care provided to our patients by assisting in daily medical and administrative tasks in our state-of-the-art facility. The successful candidate will be part of a cooperative team, utilizing the latest healthcare practices and technology, to make a positive impact on patient recovery and wellbeing. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height. Administer injections or medications as directed by the physician and in accordance with state regulations. Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses. Complete medical charts and ensure all records are accurately maintained. Schedule patient appointments and manage follow up. Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention. Proficiency in clinical techniques such as administering injections and EKGs. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to operate medical equipment. Knowledge of medical regulations and safety standards. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
