Description Atlantic Health is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department at Overlook Medical Center. Required hours are: 11:30PM - 7:30AM, including every other weekend. Starting rate $20.90/hr. This position is eligible for the Atlantic Health System teenhiring initiative (specific shifts) Essential Function/Responsibilities: General cleaning, empty trash, high/low dusting, mop floors, sanitize all furniture inpatient rooms, clean commode, clean bathrooms and discard debris, remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen in patient rooms. EVS Aide will also need to work at Union Campus. Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids. Requirements: HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment. To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English. Solid work history a must. Need to meet the fit testing requirement. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. Must be 16 or older (prior to hire, must complete NJA300 Combined Certification Form/Working Papers). If 16 or 17 years-old, valid working papers required. Relevant Experience: Prior experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting or a related field preferred. Prior Floor-care experience preferred. 1-2 years of customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality or relevant area preferred.
