We are looking for a
Health & Safety Specialist to join our team of
experienced Technical Professionals in northern New
Jersey. This position will
safety management support for facility renovations and construction
operations at CMI's customer site. Your focus will be on fall
prevention, lockout/tagout, contractor safety oversite, field
inspections, and contractor permit reviews. If the description

- Conduct daily
contractor safety orientation training.
- Conduct daily
jobsite and monthly site-wide inspections.
- Conduct field
audits of high risk work activities (crane operations, work at
heights, confined space entries, trenching/excavations, and other
critical work operations).
administrative audits of permits and inspection forms.
training including fall protection, lockout/tagout, confined space
entry, powered industrial trucks, and electrical safety preparing,
reviewing and approving job safety assessments (JSAs) and health
and safety plans (HASPs).
- Support and
provide oversight of air and noise sampling.
- Participate in
project safety meetings.
- Review safety
data sheets (SDSs) for chemicals brought onsite.
Required Skills and
- B.S. in
Occupational Safety and Health with a minimum of 5 years of
contractor safety management experience. If no B.S. degree, then a
minimum of 12 years of relevant experience is required.
of OSHA 1926 construction safety and 1910 general industry
standards and best practices.
- Understand OSHA
requirements for multiple employer worksites.
- Have a valid
driver's license and have access to a vehicle for local
skills to maintain accurate documentation of multiple
communication skills, including the ability to present effective
employee training programs.
- Flexibility and
comfort working under tight deadlines with changing
customer service and follow-up skills.
