The Contracts Manager works under the Procurement CoE
organization and plays a key role working with and supporting
cross-organizational business units within Bed Bath & Beyond and
its concepts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the
negotiation of favorable prices, terms and conditions of major
contracts while maintaining a high ethical standard of practice,
including compliance with all company procedures. This role
provides cradle-to-grave contracts management services and partners
and supports the various business owners throughout the entire
contracting process. Primary responsibilities of this role include,
reviewing, drafting, negotiating and finalizing a variety of
routine business to complex IT and other types of contracts with
vendors who provide Goods or Services Not for Resale ("GNFR").
o Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience in a technical discipline, Finance or
other business related field.
o Minimum of 7-10+ years in contracts management, procurement,
or relevant role, preferably working with and negotiating complex
contracts and pricing structures, deliverable based agreements
involving third parties, technology, and services.
o Proficiency in negotiating favorable terms for pricing,
confidential information, indemnification, liability, privacy,
personally identifiable information, proprietary rights and
o Excellent problem-solving capabilities and out-of-the-box
thinking to ensure forward movement in the contract negotiations
o Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities,
ambiguity, and rapid change.
o Strong written and verbal communications and negotiation
o Energetic self-starter who is able take ownership and work
both autonomously while being able to contribute successfully in a
cross-functional team environment.

cross-functional, cross-departmental projects, vendors, and

of company procedures and contract management processes.
o Extensive knowledge of and competency in working with
different contract types including firm fixed price, cost type,
time and material contracts, in addition to: NDAs, MSAs, SOWs,
License Agreements (SaaS, Cloud, etc.) and other commercial
agreements routinely used in the contracts management sector.
o Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact with
all levels of the organization and external constituencies,
including, senior leaders, program managers, internal/external
legal counsel, and vendor partners.
o Ability to communicate a deep understanding of the business
and a broad knowledge of existing contract negotiation practices is
expected in this role.
