OpportunityD'Artagnan, a central New Jersey based national leader in high quality protein distribution, seeks a detailed oriented individual with a credit collections background for a full-time position. We are looking for an ambitious Collector to continually monitor the Aged Trial Balance (ATB) of accounts to ensure best possible Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), reduce bad debt, provide excellent customer service and support the sales team. This position reports directly to the Credit Manager. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in a food service credit collections environment. We seek a candidate that has a roll up your sleeves mentality, an analytical mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills with a desire to work in a hands-on business environment and is interested in building the function's organizational effectiveness and productivity. Key Responsibilities

• Continually mine & monitor the Aged Trial Balance and maximize recovery
• Identify and address potential collection issues to reduce bad debt
• Keep Credit Manager, Field & Regional Sales Reps. informed of potential and ongoing issues
• Review and determine release of any new orders
• Accurately document all collections efforts, update and maintain system information
• Handle all customer inquiries as if they were your own accounts
• Effectively manage charge backs in an organized and timely fashion
• Maintain confidentiality
• Take on additional duties & special projects as directed by Credit Manager including Cash Application Required Experience/Skills
  • 3 years Credit and/or Collection Department experience
  • Microsoft Office skills with Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and business decision capabilities
  • Adaptability, flexibility, willing and able to change and adjust with business conditions
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and be customer service focused Desired Experience
    • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables
    • Food service industry experience
    • Charge Back resolution experience
