Job Description:
Tender Care - Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree or equivalency
Driver's license valid in the state of New Jersey
Preferred one year of related experience working with persons with
Disabilities
Must submit to a criminal background check and be determined to be
not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to
hire
Must agree to have name checked against the Central Registry of
Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
All employees hired after 6/15/18 shall submit to drug testing
prior to employment
All employees shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and
for cause
All employees hired after 7/16/18 shall complete an application to
have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry
Information (CARI)
Required Skills: -
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong
documentation skills -
Excellent judgment, problem solving, organizational, and time
management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
effectively with DDD community, families, colleagues, supervisors,
and agency personnel
Physical ability to fulfill job requirements (able to lift a
minimum of 50 pounds without accommodation)

Essential Job Functions: -
Assist the Recruitment and Human Resources department with all
relevant tasks including, but not limited to, completing reference
checks, receiving documentation, etc.
Support office staff with any ad hoc projects assigned to keep
Tender Care in compliance with state guidelines
Monitor new and existing personnel files to confirm the presence of
required documentation and completed background checks
Ensure all employees are up to date with required trainings,
following up with anyone who is not compliant and guiding those who
find difficulty in completing said trainings
Drive and accompany individuals to appointments, recreation/leisure
activities, or other destinations as assigned, with strict
adherence to motor vehicle laws -
Maintain confidentiality of individuals' information and records
(HIPAA) -
Comply with applicable Tender Care and Division of Developmental
Disabilities (DDD) policies and procedures, and DDD and Department
of Human Services (DHS) licensing requirements
Cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff
in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation -
