Senior Director, New Product Planning (NPP) on the team to help us
expand what's possible for patients with serious diseases.
Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial Effectiveness, you'll
lead U.S. new product planning from early commercial assessment
through pre-commercialization and launch planning — serving as the
primary commercial voice on asset and portfolio teams and
translating scientific, clinical, and market insights into clear
commercial strategies. In this highly visible, cross-functional
role, you'll partner closely with Research, Clinical Development,
Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Analytics, Regulatory,
Legal, and Finance to ensure development programs are designed to
meet patient needs, support future access and reimbursement, and
enable successful launches — while also building and developing
high-performing NPP talent and driving organizational readiness for
multiple concurrent launches. What You'll Do: n this role, you'll
have the opportunity to lead U.S. new product planning and early
commercial strategy for Insmed's pipeline — serving as the primary
commercial voice on cross-functional teams and translating
scientific, clinical, and market insights into strategies that
drive development decisions, launch readiness, and long-term value
creation for patients with serious diseases. You'll also: Serve as
the commercial representative on cross-functional program teams,
ensuring commercial insights inform clinical development plans,
indication strategy, and Target Product Profiles (TPPs) Develop
comprehensive disease area and market landscape assessments —
including unmet need, patient journey, treatment paradigms,
competitive dynamics, and key stakeholders Partner with Commercial
Analytics and Insights to design and interpret primary and
secondary market research, translating findings into clear
strategic recommendations Shape product positioning, value
propositions, and launch strategy in collaboration with Global
Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access Lead forecasting,
scenario modeling, and commercial opportunity assessments to
support portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, and
long-range planning Collaborate with Market Access to inform early
pricing, reimbursement, and evidence generation strategies that
support future payer value propositions Drive cross-functional
launch readiness, including governance, milestones, risk
identification, and performance metrics Communicate commercial
strategy, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership
and governance forums to support informed decision-making Build,
lead, and develop a high-performing New Product Planning team,
fostering strong cross-functional collaboration, strategic rigor,
and talent development Support lifecycle planning and post-launch
optimization to maximize long-term brand value and patient impact
Who You Are: You have aBachelor's degree(MBA or advanced degree
preferred), along with10 yearsof experience inthe pharmaceutical or
biotech industry, including multiple years in early commercial
development, or a related field. You arean authentic,
patient-focused leader with exceptional strategic, analytical, and
communication skills — adept at synthesizing data and insights into
actionable plans and influencing at senior levels, or you also
have: Demonstrated success leading early strategic planning in
specialty or rare disease markets Proven ability to lead
cross-functional teams and deliver strong commercial results A
track record of people leadership, talent development, and team
building Deep understanding of FDA promotional review processes and
pharmaceutical compliance requirements Authentic commitment to
patients living with serious or rare diseases Nice to have (but not
required): MBA or advanced degree Experience across both domestic
and international markets Where You'll Work: This is a fully remote
role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere while staying
connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for
team meetings or events will be expected. Travel Requirements: This
position involves frequent domestic and international travel (up to
30% ) to support cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder
